Best Wishes for a Safe and Healthy 2021 to all from the North Shore Yacht Club (NSYC)!

Thinking about your spring, summer and beyond plans for 2021? While 2020 was an unusual year for NSYC, one might think that Covid-19 would have caused the NSYC to “Ease-the-Sails and Throttle Back” then and now. Not so! Our Cruising, Racing, Junior Sailing, Boat Share Program , Social and Education programs evolved to exceptional successes…all while seriously honoring Covid-19 protocols! Naturally, 2021 is being approached with the same gusto!

Please click any link below, or elsewhere, in this website, or email, or call us, for the latest information and let us share firsthand how, after 150 years, the North Shore Yacht Club remains, “NSYC Strong.”  Meanwhile, click here for a brief  Video introduction to NSYC.

And, of course, we monitor our Club VHF Radio on channel 78!

Rich in history, the North Shore Yacht Club was established in 1871 as the New York Canoe Club. It is the oldest yacht club on Long Island and for people with and without a boat. Its fleet consists almost exclusively of sailboats, ranging from small one-designs to ocean-going vessels. We boast a diverse membership that includes experienced cruisers, blue water racers, and new sailors. The Club offers a well-sheltered mooring area protected by land on three sides, with quick and easy access to the Sound. Junior Sailing, Boat Share Program  & Laser Sailing Program round out the Club’s attractiveness for all ages. The North Shore Yacht Club is for people who love sailing, with membership fees a fraction of the cost of other yacht clubs and marinas. Members enjoy active social, education, cruising and racing calendars without the extraneous costs other clubs charge for facilities little used by sailors. Happy Sailing!
